Does Werkvolk work with temp agency contracts?
No. Werkvolk is not a temp agency. Every vacancy in the app is a direct contract with the employer, part time or full time.
What is the difference between temp work and working directly?
With temp work you go through an agency that acts as the middleman: you are employed by that agency and hired out to a client company. With a direct contract through Werkvolk you sign with the employer itself. Your pay, your seniority and your contract sit there, not with a third party.
What are the advantages of a direct contract?
You have a direct relationship with your employer from day one, clarity about your contract and your terms, and no margin going to a middleman. In practice, direct employment also brings more stability, faster build-up of seniority and more room to grow.
Who is my employer if I start through Werkvolk?
The company where you go to work. Werkvolk brings you together and then steps out of the picture: we are never your employer, we do not pay your wages and we are not on your contract.
Do I pay Werkvolk anything as a skilled worker if I find work through you?
Never. Not when you create your profile, not when you get a match and not when you sign a contract. Werkvolk is paid by the employers who put their vacancy on the platform.
Will I get a permanent contract or a fixed-term one?
The employer decides that, and it is stated in the vacancy. You see up front whether it is a permanent or a fixed-term contract, and whether it is part time or full time. What you will not find is a temp agency contract.
Can I still work flexibly or part time through Werkvolk?
Yes. Not every job has to be full time. Every vacancy states whether it is part time or full time, which hours apply and whether shift work is involved. You set what works for you in your profile, and you mostly see vacancies that fit.
What if I am already registered with a temp agency?
That changes nothing. You can be registered with a temp agency and use the Werkvolk app at the same time. There is no exclusivity and nothing to cancel.
Does Werkvolk help with my contract or payroll?
No, and that is deliberate. Contract, payroll, onboarding and leave stay entirely with your employer and their payroll office. Werkvolk sits before that process: we make sure the right people and the right vacancies find each other.
